This programme is based on clean and comfortable accommodation in Irish family homes.

The participants in this programme are over 2,000 homes throughout Ireland. Some of the farmhouses are working farms with livestock and / or crops, others are urban family homes.

Whether in town or in the countryside, this type of accommodation offers visitors an excellent way to meet the Irish people and to become familiar with the ways of Irish family life.

Most houses have 3/4 guest bedrooms and the majority of rooms have private bath or shower - these are available for a small supplement (please see notes below).

Full Irish breakfast is included with the accommodation. The “Bed & Breakfast Accommodation" program is excellent value, and is an ideal way to see the ‘Real Ireland’.

B & B/ Farmhouse Rates 2007/2008

Above rates includes:

• 1 night’s accommodation sharing a standard twin/double room
• Full Irish Breakfast
• Service and Taxes at existing rates

Important Booking Notes:

• Reservation Charges: €6.00 per confirmed reservation and €5.00 per each cancellation/amendment.
• Ensuite Rooms: 95% of the houses are now en suite therefor we recommend that this programme is sold with en suite rooms. Standard Rooms can be upgraded to ensuite rooms at a price of €2.00 per person, maximum €5.00 per room.
• Dublin Supplement €7.50 per room per night June, July, August and September payable direct to the home. Very early booking is strongly advised for bookings in July and August. Note: Prebooking at all times for Dublin area B&B is recommended.
• Dinner is available at €21.00 per person due direct (must be prebooked directly)

En suite Supplements
Most houses (95% approx.) have rooms with private bath. There is a supplement of €2.00 per person (maximum €5.00 per room for 3 or more sharing) which we will invoice you for. Clients can state a preference for rooms with or without private facilities, but this is subject to availability at time of booking.

Single rooms
In general, the majority of the Bed and Breakfast houses do not have single rooms. However the limited few that do offer a single room may be standard rooms rather than en suite.

Children’s Rates
Children under 12 years sharing a standard room with 2 adults: €20.00

All costs for children under 2 years to be paid directly. (no reduction for children in their own room)

Rooms are held until 18.00hrs on day of arrival. If clients will arrive later than this, they must advise the house owner.

Check in is between 14h00 & 18h00.

Check out by 11.00 the following day

We cannot be responsible for client’s first night stay if they arrive after 18h00 and we have not been advised of the arrival time.

Onward reservations:
For the cost of the phone call, the home will assist clients in booking subsequent nights. To avoid disappointment we advise your clients to avail of this facility.

The B&B / Farmhouse Accommodation programme is sold on a "Go As You Please" basis with the first night prebooked at the point of arrival.

Reservations
The Town & Country House office operates a computerised and efficient central reservations service for tour operators. Bookings are confirmed to you within 24 hours,48 maximum during with working week. Reservations can only be guaranteed for ensuite rooms. Reservations for standard room will be made if rooms are available.

No Show
Where a confirmed reservation has been made with a member of Town & Country Homes and the resevation is not taking,a 100% of 1st night No Show is charged to the tour operator.
If you preebook accomodation or if the Association makes the reservation for your client, the members name and name of premises should be written on the vouchers to avoid their acceptanceat other any property.Otherwise, this could lead to a No Show fee if this voucher is accepted at another property.

Public Liability Insurance
Approbal and member ship of the Association require that the premises complies with Planning Permission,Building Regulations and Fire Safety requirements and all other regulations and legistation applying to the said premises.
It's use a Bed and Breakfast establishment,the members has the right to operate the premises under his name and that allthe appropiate insurance's including Public Liability and Food and Beverages will be in force and maintained throughtout the period of listing January- December.
